Erin Banks (SGCNZ NSSP 2000, SGCNZ YSC 2001)
Erin Banks is an award-winning Wellington based actor. She has received Chapman Tripp Theatre Awards for performance on five occasions, three of which were awards for Actress of the Year. A graduate of Victoria University’s Theatre and English programmes she has performed in over 25 professional productions around the country. Her recent theatre work includes Midsummer (A Play with Songs), Constellations, Tribes, Broken River, Joseph K, All My Sons, The Great Gatsby and her screen work includes Two Little Boys, War News, REALITi and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.
Erin participated in SGCNZ UOSWSF every year of Wairarapa College and was selected for SGCNZ NSSP in 2000 and the SGCNZ YSC 2001 where she performed as Macbeth on The Globe Stage. During her career she’s also had the great pleasure of playing Benvolio, Ophelia, Cordelia, Lear’s Fool, Isabella, and Helena (in MND not AWTEW).
