Ashton Blake-Barlow (SGCNZ NSSP 2012)

Ashton Blake-Barlow studied medicine as a post-graduate in Dunedin, after completing a BSc in biochemistry.

He adored the NSSP experience and feels that his background in drama and theatre has put him in good stead in his career as a doctor, with regards to public speaking and confidence in himself. He feels that it has contributed to his development as a Residential Advisor for first year students, which he took on as a part time job during his studies.

Ashton plans to move to Christchurch to complete the remaining three years of his study and join the New Zealand Army Reserves as a medical technician.

Ashton still raves about NSSP to people he meets.
