Katie Boyle (SGCNZ UOSWSF 2010)
Reigning from Upper Hutt, Katie Boyle has performed in 11 Elizabethan productions over the last seven years after graduating from Victoria University of Wellington with a BA in Theatre and Film. Her past shows out of university include (but is not limited to) an all female Hamlet at the Pop Up Globe, Romeo and Juliet, The Tragedy of Dr Faustus, and her 45 date NZ tour solo-performance of The Merry Wives of Windsor.
Alongside acting, she has also flourished in writing-performing her own award-winning comedy show Pat Goldsack’s Swinger’s Club and Brothel, winning multiple comedy awards around NZ, with the sequel Pat Goldsack’s Moist Liaisons touring around Fringe Festivals across NZ. She has also co-produced and co-hosted the award-nominated comedy line-up show Sing It Wrong, and MCed Wellington’s Armageddon. Her company Sparrow & Boyle Entertainment tour country-wide, allowing her to direct a solo-performance of Much Ado About Nothing amongst many other shows.
