Student Performance Photography Award – Winners Announced!

We’ve had some incredible submissions from Student Photographers around the country who’ve been capturing scenes from the SGCNZ e-Regional University of Otago Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festivals. SGCNZ’s long-time supporter and photographer Brian Scurfield, of Memory of Light Photography, has now announced the winners of the inaugural Student Performance Photography Award.

– 1^st Prize – Angharad Yearbury-Murphy, Tauraroa School

– 2^nd Prize – Ashlee Stevens, Taupo-nui-a-Tia College

Of Angharad’s work, Brian commented: “Photographing large groups of people on stage can be tricky but Angharad has managed this well. Her photos clearly show what action is taking place on the stage through use of composition, focusing, and depth-of-field and are of a consistent good standard throughout the gallery.”
