At last we can offer it again!
This two week course at Shakespeare’s Globe, London (inclusive of travel time) from 5 July-19 July tbc (school holidays) – or till 20 July if taking up the optional trip to Stratford Upon Avon at the end. The course is designed as a professional development opportunity for teachers from throughout New Zealand of students from Years 1 – 13, especially, but not solely Drama or English. Home School Educators, Community Drama Tutors and private sector speech and drama teachers, may also apply.
The course will run in parallel with, though largely independent of, SGCNZ’s Young Shakespeare Company 2024 study and performance trip. This intensive course will conclude with a Midnight Matinee to an invited public showcase performance of scenes on the Globe stage, including a short one by you, the Teachers!
The skills learnt do not just apply to Shakespeare – they are completely transferable into any teaching situation and for all ages. Most of all, it provides professional and personal development and capability building. You also have time to ‘culture vulch’ on theatre in London!
