Brianne Kerr (SGCNZ NSSP 1998)
Brianne Kerr was born in Thames and raised in the mighty Timaru. She studied acting in Christchurch at the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Arts (NASDA), graduating in 2001 with a Bachelor of Performing Arts. Bri is now based in the cultural capital Wellington and can still be found acting with theatre company, The Bacchanals – in 2015 she won ‘Supporting Actress of the Year’ at the Wellington Theatre Awards for her role as Duchess of York in Richard III.
Bri set up her own freelance publicity business in 2004, when she was awarded a Business Enterprise Grant from Positively Wellington Business. Fourteen years later she has built a solid reputation as an effective and pro-active freelance arts publicist. She is currently working with the New Zealand Festival as Marketing Co-ordinator.
