Romeo and Juliet is the world’s most famous drama of tragic young love. Defying the feud which divides their families, Romeo and Juliet enjoy the fleeting rapture of courtship and marriage; but a combination of old animosities and new coincidences brings them to suicidal deaths. A rich mixture of romantic lyricism, bawdy comedy, intimate harmony and sudden violence it kept Romeo and Juliet perennially loved by generation after generation since its writing in the mid 1590’s.

The work of Detour Theatre is centered around the professional skills of our Co-Directors Devon and Kim Williamson and volunteers from the community.
There is lot going on at Detour Theatre. We produce four or five shows a year (plays), run drama classes for children, teen, adults and groups with special needs. We provide characters for corporate entertainment and groups of our actors are often seen at local events.
